Dr. Walter Brooks is the founding President and CEO of Tangu, founded in Atlanta, GA in 1994. Dr. Brooks holds a PhD in Professional Counseling and Psychology and is a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), among many professional credentials. Dr. Brooks has over 25 years experience working with persons suffering from addictive and mental health disorders. He has been down the road of addiction himself and has dedicated his life to helping others.
Sanjay Pardasani is a devoted substance abuse counselor with several years of experience in regards to addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. As a graduate of Georgia State University at the top of his class, Sanjay holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Mr. Pardasani is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CDAC II). Additional certifications include Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Anger Management for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Clients, and Breaking the Chains of Trauma curricula. Sanjay is a compassionate and empathetic individual with a working knowledge of the 12-step program as well as cognitive behavioral interventions, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and Eastern philosophical approaches to addiction and mental health. His approach to to counseling is holistic, invoking and promoting the the alignment and integration of wellness in the mind, body, and spirit.
Philip Howard is the facility director at Tangu Recovery. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University. Howard is also certified in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Anger Management, and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention. Philip Howard has been a part of the Tangu family since 2014 and continues to uphold our commitment to providing quality, personalized care for each client.
Sarah Ann Patton is the lead therapist at Tangu Recovery. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology as well as a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Georgia. Since joining the Tangu family in 2018, Sarah Ann has been an integral part in helping our clients heal and grow throughout the recovery process. By connecting with each client on an individual level, she is able to help them recognize the roots of their addiction and strive for a healthier future.
Saleem Buluu is a counselor at Tangu Recovery. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Argosy University and a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from Tennessee State University. As a member of the Tangu family since 2014, Saleem works directly with clients to help them build a foundation for a bright, sober future.
Iesha Gorman is a certified medical assistant at Tangu Recovery. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication. Gorman is also certified in CPR, Risk Reduction, Rapid HIV Testing, and Crisis Intervention. As a part of the Tangu family since 2013, Iesha helps to ensure the health and safety of our clients throughout the course of care.
Lakisha Hall is the office manager at Tangu Recovery. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production and has over 9 years of administrative experience. Since joining the Tangu family in 2018, Hall has assisted in keeping Tangu Recovery running smoothly, allowing the clinical and therapy team to focus on helping clients heal and grow.
Pamela Coleman is the licensed practical nurse at Tangu Recovery. She is a Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (CACII), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), as well as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Coleman is also a Nationally Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (NCACI). Since joining the Tangu family in 2002, Pamela has been an integral part of ensuring our clients receive the care they need for long-term recovery.
Dr. Daniel Golightly has proudly served the greater Atlanta area for over 30 of his 50+ year medical career. As a medical doctor specialising in addiction medicine, his compassionate approach to care is unparalleled. Dr. Golightly earned his Doctorate in Medicine from MeHarry Medical College in Nashville, going on to complete his internship at Harlem Hospital Center and a surgical residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York. Dr Golightly went on to gain a fellowship of addiction medicine from Mercer University and Charter Lake Hospital, beginning his decades long commitment to the recovery community. Dr. Golightly now serves as the staff physician at Tangu Recovery, where his expertise helps clients remain safe and healthy on their journey of recovery.
